Introduction
Helga Taimeaed mainly offers hardy plants suitable for Estonian conditions, both for sunny and shaded locations. For the past 20 years, our main activity has been growing perennials - including grasses, bulbous flowers, and perennial aromatic and medicinal herbs. We also offer edible perennials, which you can grow in both flower beds and vegetable gardens.
Our goal is to rediscover good old varieties and species, find new hardy plants, and offer exciting and uncommon perennials that are not often found in large garden centers, but which definitely deserve more use.
When visiting the botanical garden, you can see a small perennial flower maze, created in late autumn 2018, which changes throughout the season.
We have created a convenient way to explore the rich world of perennials on our website, and here you can easily gather your wishes.
Not all plants may be available as potted plants at all times. If you are looking for a specific plant, please feel free to contact us and ask about availability.
The website also contains plants that we no longer propagate ourselves, but which are worthy of use or may be of interest. These are marked “ARCHIVED” and remain on the page for informational purposes.
"ON ORDER" plants are not offered ready-made in pots.
Plants marked "ASK FOR AVAILABILITY" are either out of stock or still in stock.
Since plants are offered in different ages and sizes, this is also reflected in the price list as a corresponding range. In the event of a price difference, the price on site at the botanical garden applies.
Although we understand that it is convenient to have plants delivered to your home, we recommend that you pick up the plants yourself if possible.
Your own eye is king – this way you can choose the plants yourself and they don't have to go through the postal route, which can be traumatic for the living material.
Seedlings can be purchased on site by paying:
